Doherty Finegan Kelly (DFK) acted as the lead consultant as part of a design and build contract on behalf of National Oil Reserve Agency (NORA) which predominantly consisted of the conversion of an existing power station tank farm and jetty to be used by NORA for the storage of gas, oil and diesel, resulting in the site being upgraded to the upper tier under the SEVESO regulations. The contract involved the construction of a single storey operational control room, new pump-pad, truck loading gantry complete with weatherproof enclosure, interceptors, bunds and tank refurbishment. Works also included the installation of new pipe-work, pumps, fire protection system including firewater tank and associated siteworks. Doherty Finegan Kelly also provided the consultancy roles required for the Fire Safety Certificate (FSC), the Disability Access Cert (DAC), the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and the Assigned Certifier (AC) for BCAR requirements along with full Project Administration & Management services.
